A step ahead


Edinburgh Napier has a strong track record with graduate employment. I would extend this and improve graduate employment opportunities by developing a university employment agency, matching students with temporary/part-time/summer opportunities in the local region. Finding flexible jobs around study (with limited hours/ prioritising university), jobs that reinforce the aims of a student's course, would build valuable experience, build future contacts, networks and opportunities. I'd also introduce a start your own student business scheme as part of this, linking to local business mentors, and, again, building experience, developing skills and developing graduate employment opportunities.
