Employability Course
Students fresh out of university and applying for jobs often struggle to prove that they have the relevant job skills to recruiters. According to numerous employability surveys’ the key skills that employees look for include planning and organising, communication, team working, initiative and problem solving, adaptability and ongoing development. It is crucial for Edinburgh Napier to not only give these skills to their graduates but also proof to show potential employers. This can be achieved by creating an online employability course, which will provide students with a record of the skills attained to show recruiters. This can be completed over the period of the student’s university course and potentially be a record they can update after graduating. Further details attached.

My problem with this idea is the fact that it wont test practical skills in real life situations which is always an issue to consider with online based courses.
