Knowledge is POWER

In today's economic climate it is a fact that graduates find it difficult to find employment, especially for those without work experience. I strongly believe Napier University should help students get the necessary work experience by collaborating with internship providers (e.g. Shell Step, Adopt an Intern, Milkround, etc.), start ups or agencies that work with start ups ( e. g. Work in Startups) and social enterprises (e.g. charities).

I suggest that each university assignment should be a practical piece of work such as a project for an organisation/company or a charity. Napier University must post a number of volunteering positions online as part of the modules and support financially those students that would like to volunteer in exchange for work experience but they cannot afford to do unpaid work.
